APPLICATION – Ready Steady Go XX Calibre

IMPORTANT!! Always keep product upright and secure (when using, storing, transporting) – There’s a layer of water on top of product to prevent loss of moisture. Important!! Do not mix the layer of water in to the clay – discard of the layer of water before use. Once opened and not in use, cover product with + 3 cm of water and close the lid securely. Store in a cool & dry place. Open product, product will be covered in a layer of liquid. The product will look like a “putty/clay paste” Stir thoroughly and ensure that you have a well-mixed and lump free product. You can use an electric kitchen mixer, electric drill with mixer attachment or a spatula

IMPORTANT!! Rinse mixer/tools immediately after use. If you need multiple cans of the same colour for one surface, ensure that the batch numbers are the same. Remember that this is a mineral plaster paint that it comes directly out of nature and there might be a variant in colour from one container to another. The product develop over time and different circumstances may result in different colour variations. One of the major characteristics of our product is the colour nuances. The colour you see in the container, will lighten once it is dry. Always apply a test patch first. If the product feels too thick, you can add a bit of clean water to dilute and if it is too runny, leave open for a while and it will thicken as it comes into contact with air. Clean the surface that you want to transform thoroughly and ensure that it is free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, rust, etc. Use a drop-sheet and avoid spillage as far as possible. Clean any spills up immediately as it will harden when it comes into contact with air Always start in a corner and work in blocks Use blue painters tape to block off the area you want to transform Use a small scraper / trowel to apply product onto flat surfaces like walls, with a 30-degree angle. Scoop product out of container and spread a thin layer onto wall in a halfmoon” motion from random directions Cover the whole surface with one thin layer and spread the product out. Should be applied like a decorative skimming plaster or paint. Once 1st coat is dry (between 3 – 5 hours – depending on size of surface and weather conditions) use fine sandpaper and lightly sand uneven areas. Do not inhale the dust – wear a mask. Once dry spray the whole surface / wall with water (use spitzer bottle). It should not be soaking wet, only damp. This step will help to minimise shrinkare of the product. Apply second coat and use same technique You can spray water on the surface / wall to spread it more easily. Once dry, scrape uneven product off with scraper or with very fine sandpaper. Wait until dry, take your water spray bottle and spray water with one hand, and use scraper in other hand to smooth product out and activate product and enhance the colour. This is called burnishing When product is completely dry, use your water bottle and scraper to repeat the last step again if desired. The product will reflect light and have a vibrant and lively look. This product is unique and will consistently be inconsistent Product will harden with time and carbon dioxide will activate the product Always store unused product in an airtight container. Cover product with + 3 cm of water when not in use to prevent drying and loss of moisture and keep sealed in an airtight container in upright position. Once completely dry (after 7 to 14 days) apply our water-based mineral sealer. Never “rush the drying process. The longer it takes to dry naturally, the more durable the product will become.
